MY FAVORITE QUOTE

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."  - Robert J. Hanlon

At face value, it seems like such a harsh quote.  But, to me, it's a reminder that what I might assume is an intentional slight is probably someone focused on something that is happening in their own lives.  Maybe the person who cut me off in traffic is on the way to the hospital to see their loved one for the last time.  Maybe the mother who snapped at me at the school fundraiser is battling depression.  It's a small mirror of the love of God for us, even when we mess up and focus on ourselves instead of him.  This realization helps to remind me to move beyond an angry response and to pray for the person instead.  I don't know what the tone of the quote was originally, but I do know God can use anything and anyone in our lives to change and grow us.  I am so thankful for that, so I wanted to share it with all of you as well.  I hope it's helpful: )
